Nicolas Kuhn Spotted At Celtic vs Ajax

Former Celtic winger Nicolas Kuhn has been spotted at the stadium tonight as he watches Celtic take on Ajax in the semi-final of the Como Cup. [RecordSport]

The German winger, who left the Hoops earlier this month in a £17 million move to Como, made his debut just last night in a 3-1 win over Al-Ahli.

Kuhn is in the stands as his former sides fight for a place in the final. He’s only just swapped Glasgow for Italy, but it’s clear he still holds an interest in how things are going back at Celtic.

The winger is keeping a low profile, but his presence doesn’t go unnoticed.

The move to Como came quickly, and so did his first appearance. Kuhn pulled on the Como shirt for the first time less than 24 hours ago and already finds himself back near his old squad. It’s been a whirlwind few weeks for the German, but he’s settling into life at his new club fast.

Should Celtic get the better of Ajax tonight, there’s a chance they’ll be facing Como in the final, and Kuhn might go from watching in the stands to playing on the pitch against his old side. A quick reunion could be on the cards, with Brendan Rodgers’ men standing in the way.

If things go that way, Kuhn could be lining up opposite the players he trained with just weeks ago.

There’s no bad blood in the move, but any final brings an extra edge, and facing your former club always adds something different.

Even in Como colours, Kuhn still looks comfortable near Celtic. He’s around familiar faces, and while his focus is now with his new team, there’s a clear sign that he hasn’t fully let go of his old club just yet.

His return tonight might just be a visit, or it might be the first step toward a quick-fire showdown.
