Celtic winger Nicolas Kuhn has taken to social media to mark the end of a rollercoaster 2024/25 campaign, celebrating a personal milestone despite a season of mixed emotions. The German wide man notched 21 goals in 51 appearances across all competitions, showcasing his attacking threat and quality in the final third.
By the winter break, Kuhn had arguably been Celtic’s player of the season, turning in electric performances including key goals against RB Leipzig, Ross County and Rangers.

However, as the season progressed, Kuhn’s form dipped noticeably. A quieter second half of the campaign saw Daizen Maeda step up, with the Japanese international taking on more of the attacking threat and eventually earning Celtic’s Player of the Year honours. Kuhn found himself rotated more often, unable to rediscover the spark that lit up the early months.
Kuhn shared a short video on Instagram, featuring some of his standout moments in green and white, captioned: “What a season. Special moments. Thanks for the support🙌🏽💚”. His contribution was undeniable, especially during the first half of the season when he emerged as one of Celtic’s most dangerous players.

Still, his tally of 21 goals stands as a strong return for a winger, and highlights the quality he brings to the squad.

The season also saw Celtic lift both the Scottish Premiership and League Cup trophies, adding silverware to the personal achievements. Yet the campaign ended in heartache with a penalty shootout loss to Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup final — a sore one for the squad and supporters.
Kuhn’s Instagram post, though understated, suggests a player reflecting with happiness the 2024/25 season, even if the season didn’t end as he’d hoped. Whether he can find consistency over a full campaign next time out will be interesting to see.
