Nicolas Kuhn has paid tribute to Celtic and its fans following the confirmation of his £17.2 million move to Italian side Como.

The German winger signed off from the Scottish champions with a heartfelt message, expressing gratitude for what he described as a club that felt like “home from the very beginning.”
Kuhn, who joined Celtic in January 2024 from Rapid Vienna, departs after a standout season in which he registered 21 goals and nine assists across all competitions. His form helped fire Brendan Rodgers’ side to another league title and drew the attention of several clubs across Europe, with ambitious Serie A outfit Como ultimately winning the race for his signature.
In a message posted after his transfer was confirmed, Kuhn wrote:
“Thank You, Celtic.
Saying goodbye is never easy. Especially to a place that has felt like home from the very beginning.
Wearing the Celtic shirt, hearing the fans sing, having my own song and being part of this club’s history is something I’ll always be proud of.
I’ve grown here not just as a player, but as a person.
To everyone at the club – teammates, coaches, staff, and especially the supporters – thank you for the love, the trust, and the unforgettable memories.
Celtic will always be in my heart.
Forever grateful,
Your Nic.”

Kuhn leaves Celtic with his reputation enhanced and the club banking a significant profit.
His parting message is one that will strike a chord with the Celtic fans, who took quickly to the 25-year-old during his short but memorable time in Glasgow.
The focus must now turn to finding a replacement for the player. Celtic are desperately short on the wings, and need some quality ahead of the league starting and Champions League qualifiers.
