Celtic winger Nicolas Kühn remains in transfer limbo as Serie A side Como appear to be prioritising other targets in their search for attacking reinforcements.
Despite initial interest, negotiations between the Italian club and Celtic have yet to see an agreement, with reports suggesting the Hoops are holding out for a substantial fee.

Kühn, who joined Celtic from Rapid Vienna in January 2024 for £3 million, enjoyed a prolific first full season in Glasgow, netting 21 goals and providing 15 assists across all competitions.
His standout performances, including a memorable brace against former club RB Leipzig in the Champions League, have attracted attention from several European clubs.
However, Como’s pursuit of the German winger has hit a snag. Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reports that while discussions between the two clubs continue, there is still no agreement on the transfer fee. Celtic’s valuation of Kühn, believed to be around £17 million, may be a sticking point for the Serie A side.
In the meantime, Como have secured a deal for Real Betis youngster Jesús Rodríguez and are reportedly close to finalising a move for AZ Alkmaar’s Jayden Addai. These developments suggest that Como may be shifting their focus away from Kühn, at least for the time being.
Di Marzio said: (gianlucadimarzio.com), “Como works on the three-quarter line: Addai moves up the ranks on Kuhn, working to find an understanding between the clubs.
“Como continues to move decisively on the market to strengthen the offensive department available to Cesc Fàbregas.
“The aim remains to give the manager at least another quality attacking winger, and these days AZ Alkmaar’s Jayden Addai is gaining ground on Celtic’s Nicolas Kühn.
“For Addai, the Lombards want to sink the blow. Different story for Kühn: the negotiations with Celtic continue, but at the moment there is still no agreement between the clubs on the figures of the deal.
“Como has not completely abandoned the path that leads to the German winger born in 2000, but at the moment Addai is the hottest name and the closest to wearing the white and blue shirt.”
With Como’s attention seemingly diverted, the door may be open for RB Leipzig to make a move for Kühn. The Bundesliga side, where Kühn began his youth career, have been linked with a £15 million bid for the winger. Leipzig’s new head coach, Ole Werner, is reportedly keen to bring Kühn back to Germany.

Celtic appear in no rush to sell. The Hoops’ valuation of Kühn highlights his importance to the team and their desire to keep key players ahead of the new season. Unless a club meets their asking price, the German winger may well remain at Parkhead for the foreseeable future.
As the transfer window progresses, it remains to be seen whether any club will match Celtic’s valuation of Kühn. For now, the winger’s future hangs in the balance, with potential suitors weighing up their options.
