‘Nice to Be Back’ – Frozen Out Celt’s Delight at Second Chance

CRISTIAN GAMBOA staked his claim for one last crack at Paradise after starring in Celtic’s 3-1 win over Rosenborg.

The player got off to a shaky start but grew into the game as it went on.

Gamboa only played THREE times for Celtic all of last season and is now hoping to play a bigger part in the club going forward.

Lustig will still be number one choice when he comes back into the fold but the Swede isn’t getting any younger and it would suit him to sit out some more games.

If Brendan Rodgers has a change of heart on Cristian then he could have a place in the squad over the coming weeks and months.

The Irishman’s reluctance to play the right back last season looks like he just doesn’t fancy him. Did last night change his mind?
