Newcastle in Surprising Celtic Link

English Premier League side – Newcastle United are reportedly now also interested in defender Jack Hendry.

In recent weeks, Steve Bruce’s side has had an interest in another Celtic defender, with Norweigan Kristoffer Ajer being linked with a move to the North East of England.

Now though, they are looking to target another Hoops defender in Jack Hendry, who scored his first goal for his country last night in a 2-2 draw with the Netherlands, according to 90min.

It looks highly likely that Hendry will ultimately be sold on, though, to Belgian side Oostende where the 26-year old spent last season on loan, impressing during his time over there.

Oostende has made those plans clear for several months, and if reports are to be believed, they are looking to make an instant profit on Hendry.

So, a move to England looks like a possible destination with clubs including the Magpies and the likes of Burnley being quoted as interested.
