New Injury Blow for Celtic Ahead of Saturday

Jozo Simunovic is continuing to have tests run on him after the player missed out on the last few games before the international break.

Jozo rose back to prominence under Neil Lennon in 2019 and was even keeping Christopher Jullien out of the side at the start of the season. However, it looked like the defender was just being rested at first before it became apparent the Croatian had suffered another injury setback.

Jozo has been sent to a specialist over his recurring knee problem but there’s no end in sight for the defender at the moment.

Sunsport are reporting the club are unsure how long they will be without the centre-back while they either solve the problem or find a way to manage the injury better.

Celtic have sufficient cover at the back for the moment. It’s likely Ajer and Jullien will pair up for Hamilton with Jozo being ruled out of the midday tie at the very least.
