New Celtic Transfer Option Emerges

Celtic have been linked to young Spanish starlet Ivan Fresneda according to reports [Football Scotland].

There are a number of clubs said to be interested in the defender as Celtic’s name is in the mix. Those include the likes of AC Milan, Juventus and Everton but the Hoops are also in the mix [Radio Marca Valladolid].

Fresneda has made six appearances for Real Valladolid this season and also represented Spain at under-19 level as his performances have caught many clubs attentions.

Fullback Josip Juranovic is set to leave the Scottish champions in the near future but the club have already moved to recruit a replacement after Canadian international Alistair Johnston completed a move to Glasgow.

The reported fee was said to be around £3 million  the 24-year-old signing on a five-year deal. He will be ready to play for Ange Postecoglou’s side in early January and is well up to speed having just came off the back of a World Cup.

It is a position of the park which is well covered meaning that recruiting another right back will not be a priority for Celtic at this current point in time.

Fresneda is a talent for the future but Celtic wouldn’t be able to offer him the amount of gametime he is probably seeking.
