LIAM SHAW has sent out a message to Sheffield Wednesday fans after it was confirmed the player would be moving to Celtic at the end of the season.

Obviously, Wednesday fans are disappointed they’re losing one of their top prospects and the plan was to keep this deal private until the summer.

However, Neil Lennon unwittingly put the news out to Celtic fans before he resigned as the manager.

Shaw has thanks the Wednesday fans and hopes they can understand he’s joining a club to win trophies.

The midfielder is highly rated and will be a welcome addition to the squad for whoever comes into to manage the squad.
