New Celtic Loan Star Praises Parkhead Support

MORITZ BAUER has delivered his Celtic Park verdict after the defender made his full debut at home on Sunday in a 3-1 win against Kilmarnock.

The bhoys went a goal behind against the run of play when Kilmarnock broke away and Eamon Brophy smashed an effort home for the visitors.

Celtic would get the equaliser before half time through Odsonne Edouard before taking full control in the second half. Celtic made it two thanks to a delightful pass by Moritz who played in Edouard for his second of the afternoon. Not long after that Celtic made it three through Ryan Christie who bundled the ball over the line after Forrest had his point blank header saved.

Speaking about the game and his first taste of Celtic Park, the on-loan stoke defender praised the support and claims even though the team went a goal behind he didn’t feel any negative energy coming from the stands.

“The stadium looked full and the atmosphere created by the fans was like a 12th man.” Moritz told RecordSport. “That makes a difference for us as players and I know I felt it myself.

“When we went 1-0 down it still felt positive and the fans in the stands were very supportive.

“I didn’t feel any negative energy and that helped us a lot. It showed that they trusted us and believed we would get the job done.

“The crowd was thinking the same as us. They knew the train was going in the right direction and it was just a matter of time until we scored.

“To score just before half time was great and then we continued to play well and scored another early in the second half.”
