ADIDAS has rolled out the red carpet for Celtic as a special ‘Teamgeist’ jersey is set to drop – images leaked online.
Adidas only roll these sorts of things out for the ‘elite’ clubs on their watch BUT a few tier 2 teams like Celtic do get special treatment.
We spoke to an Adidas insider who told us the club’s strong merchandise sales to date has certainly contributed to the Hoops being included in the Teamgeist range.
The teamgeistt range is based on the iconic Germany World Cup 2006 template. Team geist translates to ‘team spirit.’
Here is a Celtic training top from the range. We’re unsure at this point if it will just be a one off jersey or if Celtic will be afforded the same treatment as other Adidas clubs and have a whole range of items.
When this does drop, the Celtic players will no doubt be showing this off in training and perhaps pre-match.
It’s a sign Adidas are happy with Celtic as a partner. Even though since they sports brand took over, Celtic have been going through a bad spell, sales remain high.
They must think they’re onto a winner if the bhoys manage to win the the title.
