STUART ARMSTRONG could be on course to sign a new deal with Celtic after reportedly telling his advisors to play ball with the club.
Brendan Rodgers has been critical of the player’s reps since the summer for not being more forthcoming in negotiations but was always adamant Stuart wanted to stay at the club.
Talks this afternoon between the club and Armstong’s agent have reportedly gone ‘very well’. The two parties will get together again over the next 48-hours to hopefully thrash out a deal that will see Stuart stay at the club.

The midfielder is in the last year of his contract and it would be unthinkable to Celtic to let him leave for nothing next summer. That’s why if a deal were to look unlikely before the window closes, Celtic would have no choice but to move the player on.
The news today that a new deal could just be around the corner will be a welcome boost before the club’s massive playoff tie tonight.
