Neil McCann’s Disrespectful Celtic Comments

NEIL MCCANN has been doing the rounds over the past few weeks trying to tell anyone that will listen that Celtic’s nine point lead is no big deal.

McCann says this as Celtic sit with the aforementioned lead and having only lost one game during the first half of the season.

The former Ibrox man and EBT recipient is unable to detach his allegiance to give an honest opinion and it’s probably why he’s getting a gig on the Ibrox streaming channel.

In the conversation Neil warns Celtic that there’s still three more Glasgow derbies to be played, outlining why the Ibrox club can win them all.

Neil was trying to rally the troops with his comments.

“I find it strange because I’ve heard other guys who have played the game, whether they’ve got their Celtic hat on or whatever, on different media platforms, and they say the league is done.

“If you’re a Rangers player or you’re their manager, would you surrender the league now? The answer would be no. So why, suddenly, as a pundit looking from the outside, would you just give the title up?

We’re not here to declare Celtic have already won the league. That’s not how we or any Celtic fan should operate. More importantly, it’s not how Ange does business. The manager will flat out not allow complacency into his dressing room. The comments from Neil are flat out disrespectful and take nothing Celtic have managed to achieve in the last 18 months into account.

The nine point lead is a great cushion and if Neil is being honest, it’s a bit of a mountain to climb. Celtic’s first half form has been formidable. When the bhoys have been on it, they’ve blown teams away. When they haven’t been quite at it, they’ve still found a way to win. It’s why they’re champions and why Neil should know better.
