Neil Lennon has not dismissed the possibility of a third term at the helm of Celtic despite a complex history with the club and its supporters.

Lennon’s second departure from Celtic came amid tumultuous circumstances during the 2020-2021 Covid season when Celtic’s quest for a historic tenth consecutive league title fell short.
Lennon left the club on February 24, 2021, after a disappointing defeat to Ross County, which significantly dampened Celtic’s title hopes, placing them 18 points behind rivals Rangers. His departure followed intense fan protests calling for his resignation during a season heavily impacted by the pandemic.
“I’d maybe give it a thought, but you don’t know if people would want you back,” Neil Lennon told the BBC.
He continued, “If an opportunity came to work at Celtic in some capacity, I’d have to give it serious consideration because I love the club,” Lennon said.
Following his tenure at Celtic, Lennon took charge of Omonia in Cyprus, where he successfully reintroduced the team to European football, showcasing commendable performances against notable teams like Manchester United and Real Sociedad. Despite these efforts, he faced dismissal in October 2022 due to lacklustre domestic results.
In May 2024, Lennon embarked on a new challenge in Romania with Liga I club Rapid București, signing a two-year contract.
