CELTIC were denied a stonewall penalty in the Glasgow Derby, after Conor Goldson’s arms were in an unnatural position as Carl Starfelt’s strike hit of his hands.
Despite VAR checking the incident, which halted play for a few seconds, Willie Collum decided there was nothing more to see and didn’t even invite the on-field referee over to the monitor to have a second look.

It was a shocking decision for Collum, but Celtic have gotten used to these decisions not going in their favour.
The former Celtic manager takes the same view as everyone else, it was a clear penalty, and Willie Collum has had a mare.
Labelling the decision ‘baffling’, Neil Lennon gave his thoughts on the decision: [The Sun]
“Celtic should have had a penalty, it’s a clear handball.
“I found it baffling that the decision wasn’t given after it went to VAR.
“I’m not sure if the referees have explained why it wasn’t given, but after seeing it a few times, it was a definite penalty.”
He didn’t have much sympathy for Starfelt, who gave away the penalty which led to The Rangers’ second goal. He believed that was a penalty.
“You can be controversial about the Rangers penalty, but Carl Starfelt has really committed himself, gone to the ground.
“When you do a challenge like that at that pace and get it wrong, you’re putting yourself in jeopardy.
“Starfelt was out of control.”
At the end of the day, the hosts needed a win if they wanted to keep their title hopes alive, they didn’t get that, and they remain nine points behind with the next run of games favouring Celtic.
With 13 games until the split, Celtic have just five away games, with only one against a side in the current top six.
