Neil Lennon Talks Up Barcelona Link

Neil Lennon joked on Friday he now has a direct line to the Camp Nou after his old teammate and Celtic legend, Henrik Larsson took up a post as first team coach.

Larsson will be working under Ronald Koeman for the Catalans and returns to a club where he won the Champions League with back in the day.

Henrik is never too far away from Celtic and it would stand to reason, there could be a new link between the club with Henrik taking up the position.

“I have got a direct line in to Barcelona which might be very beneficial for us going forward” Lennon told the Evening Times.

“It is great to have contacts around the game and people you have either played with or worked with before at clubs.”

Could this be an opportunity to get young talent from Barcelona down the line?

Henrik will have his hands full from the off with the club not being in the best place right now. There’s restructuring going on with Barcelona actively looking to get rid of some of their star players from past seasons.

They will need to hit the ground running in the coming days and weeks.
