Neil Lennon Reveals Bolingoli’s Celtic Status

Only Neil Lennon will know if his comments about Boli Bolingoli are empty words or not.

Boli has only played one game since the winter break and that was against Clyde in the Scottish Cup.

Greg Taylor has been favoured ever since the bhoys returned from their training camp in Dubai. The left-back is having to adapt to a new wing-back role opened up by Neil Lennon’s use of the 3-5-2 and has struggled at times.

While many can see why Lenny has dropped Boli, to see him right out the picture and failing to make squads seems crazy considering his role in the first half of the season.

The Celtic manager was briefly asked about the defender’s prospects with regards to playing any further part in Celtic’s season.

“He is in and around it, but the team is playing well, so it’s been difficult for him to break back through.” Lennon told RecordSport.

“He’s still in my thoughts for between now and the end of the season.”

Taylor is likely to start his first ever Glasgow Derby in Sunday. With only around ten games left this season, Boli’s chances of playing are probably tied up in how quickly the bhoys can wrap up the title.

There is a chance Boli has already played his last game for Celtic if Lennon decides to cut short the player’s Celtic stay this summer.
