Neil Lennon Predicts First Derby Goal for Celtic Hero
Former Celtic boss Neil Lennon has been speaking of the differences between the current Hoops team and those of the past he has managed.
One of the main differences which he has noticed is that Ange Postecoglou’s team is much quicker than the teams he managed to success during his two separate stints in the hot seat at Parkhead.
Postecoglou was Lennon’s permanent replacement at the club after the ten in a row dream imploded as John Kennedy saw out the remainder of the season after the former Celtic captain left in February.
Much of what had been done was quickly forgotten about as Postecoglou led his Celtic side on to success during his first season in charge at the club as they went on to win a SPFL Premiership and League Cup double.

The league leaders currently have a nine point advantage over challengers Rangers and will head to Ibrox in the first game of the New Year as many believe this will go a long way in predicting the outcome of the title as if the home side don’t manage a win, the title race will be all but over.
Ange Postecoglou has warned that his current squad will not be complacent and continue to strive to be the best which shall mean that they want to make that gap even bigger and extend it to 12 points.
Lennon had two very successful spells in charge at his beloved Hoops but has admitted that the way silverware has been achieved has been very different.
“The sides that I managed compared to the current side are very different. The current team is smaller and they miss someone like Wanyama or Samaras. Giakoumakis would have fitted into my team though as he is a big centre forward,” said Neil Lennon speaking exclusively to BoyleSports.com
“But they have more speed than the team that I had. They’re a great team and Ange has done a great job.

“They’re doing really well in the league and are well on top. They’re a young team and have room to grow as well. They seem like a good group of players too.”
The former Celtic boss can’t see past his old team taking all three points at Ibrox on Monday which would give the Hoops even more control in the league. The Irishman tipping Kyogo to get his first derby goal.
“I think Celtic will win 2-1. Morelos will score for Rangers with Kyogo and O’Riley scoring for Celtic.
“Celtic handle the opposition really well and the physicality of the game too. They also score goals in bunches and handle the derbies really well.

“Ange has an excellent record in the Old Firm as well. Going into the game on the back of a 4-0 win will also give Celtic plenty of confidence. Celtic will look to play at a high intensity, and it is up to Michael Beale to try and stop this.”
