Neil Lennon has been confirmed as the permanent manager of Dunfermline this evening. He has signed a two-year deal with the club.
Lennon had been in charge on a short-term basis since March. His main job was to help the team stay in the Championship and not get relegated. He managed to do that, and talks followed about him staying longer.

The Dunfermline board and Lennon spoke after the season ended. They have now agreed to make his role permanent. At 53 years old, Lennon brings lots of experience. He is best known for his time at Celtic, both as a player and a manager. He also managed Hibs and won the Championship with them.
Dunfermline have not played in the Premiership since the 2011-12 season. With Lennon in charge, they hope that can change.

The club wants to move up the table and aim for promotion. Lennon has shown he can win in Scotland. That gives Pars fans hope that the good times can return.
His first goal will be to prepare the team for the new season. Pre-season training will begin soon. Lennon will likely bring in new players to help improve the squad. He knows the Championship well and understands what is needed to compete.

This is a big move for Dunfermline. Getting a manager like Lennon shows the club’s ambition. They want to fight at the top of the table. Lennon’s name and track record could also help attract better players.
The challenge now is to build on last season and push forward. Dunfermline fans will be hoping that Lennon is the man to lead them back to the Premiership after more than a decade away. The work starts now, and all eyes will be on East End Park.
