Neil Lennon Forced to Shut Down Bizarre Rumour

Former Celtic manager Neil Lennon has been forced to clear up one of the most bizarre rumours in recent memory—claims that he is in a business partnership with former Take That star Jason Orange.

The rumour, which somehow gained enough traction to be mentioned on Clyde One, suggested that Lennon and Orange had met at a charity match and gone on to become close friends and business associates.

However, the ex-Hoops boss has firmly denied any connection to the former pop star.

“No Idea Where That Came From”

Speaking about the rumour, Lennon was baffled by its origins:

“I’ve got no idea where that story came from. The report said we met at a charity game and that we are best friends and all this stuff. There’s no substance in that whatsoever. I’ve got no idea where that came from.” [Casino Uden Rofus]

Given Lennon’s track record in the game, it’s safe to say he’s more interested in touchline battles than business ventures with 90s pop icons.

What’s Next for Lennon?

The Irishman has been out of management since his short spell at Rapid Bucharest, and he has previously expressed his desire to return to the dugout. His last stint at Celtic ended in 2021, and he has since been linked with a number of jobs across Europe and the UK.

One thing’s for certain—if Lennon does return to management, Jason Orange won’t Take That call.
