Starting from Friday, Celtic will play seven games in a twenty-two day period, participating in three separate competitions – But you won’t hear many Celtic fans complaining!
After the international break is done and dusted, Celtic will take on Hamilton this Friday and then four days later make their Champions League Group B debut against PSG at Celtic Park.
With Celtic in four competitions over the course of the season, they will have to make good use of their squad in order to keep things fresh. We saw the jaded nature of the team after a long trip to Astana then back to league duties with St Johnstone where the bhoys dropped two points – or gained one if you want to look at it like that!
Ross County, Dundee and Rangers* are squashed in between the PSG game and Anderlecht away in the Champions League where Rodgers men will look to get something from the game if they’re to reach the minimum target of a third placed finish.
To round the September schedule off, we have Hibernian visit Celtic Park where the former Celtic captain and gaffer Neil Lennon will visit for the first time as an opposition manager. It’s not going to be a dull month! That’s for sure.
