Celtic are gearing up to take on St Johnstone in the opening round of SPFL fixtures on Saturday as the curtain comes up on the 19/20 season.
Tommy Wright brings his team to Glasgow hoping to cause an upset on flag day and he’s desperate to get one over on Neil Lennon.
However, while they are rivals on the touchline, the St Johnstone boss admitted he and the Celtic manager enjoyed a round of golf on holiday this summer.
Speaking ahead of Saturday’s fixture, Tommy told SunSport he lost to the Irishman on the golf course and now he’s gunning for his side at Celtic Park.
“The golf was a friendly game. I don’t think we played for money and, from what I remember, Lenny won.
“It’s always good to meet up with him for a laugh, but come Saturday he’ll be desperate to beat me and I’m desperate to beat him.”
Neil Lennon will be the exact same and making sure the bhoys go all out for the win.
Celtic have a few problems with injuries and suspensions for the opening game. Kieran Tierney is still out, Jozo Simunovic and Christopher Jullien are both suspended and there are a few fitness concerns with players coming back from injury like Vakoun Bayo, Tom Rogic and Daniel Arzani.
Shved could be pushing for a start after his late goal in Estonia.
