Neil Lennon Drops Christopher Jullien Injury Bombshell

Christopher Jullien has not been seen in a Celtic jersey since colliding with the post during the final game of 2020 with the prognosis being his injury would keep him out for around four months.

However, in Neil Lennon’s pre-match interview before the Ross County game, the Irishman was asked why Christopher had returned to France for his rehab.

That’s when the Hoops boss revealed the Frenchman was out for much longer than first anticipated.

“He’s out for a long period of time” Lennon told CelticTV.

“Maybe six to nine months and he’s gone back to do some rehab in France.”

There was no follow up question if that meant six to nine months from the time of his injury or if that timeframe is from now.

It means Celtic will be without their top defender for the start of next season. It’s a major blow for the squad who will be in need of a huge rebuild. Nine months would take us up until November this year, so we’ll need a lot of cover.

Will this prompt Celtic into trying to convince Kristoffer Ajer to stay one more season?
