NEIL LENNON has hit back at claims this is his side now working the way he wants them to ahead of the Scottish Cup Final.
The Irishman has been adamant all along that he has only continued what Brendan Rodgers had been doing before his sharp exit in February.
Neil has taken a lot of flak for some of the performances but the bhoys have struggled for proper scintillating form this season and have only shown it in glimpses with or without Rodgers.
The interim Celtic boss has made it clear he didn’t want to risk anything by changing the way Brendan Rodgers and his staff went about business for the past two and a half years because it had obviously been successful.
“It’s not my side, it’s Brendan’s.” Neil told SunSport.
“People are saying, ‘Well the performances aren’t the same’ – well they are.
“If I’d gone in and changed things and it hadn’t worked, I would’ve been making a huge mistake.
“It was important to get the players over the line, win the league.
Neil Lennon will lead Celtic out today at Hampden knowing it was his efforts that helped Celtic overcome both Aberdeen and Hibernian on the way to the final.
If he is the manager who beats Hearts today he deserves immense credit.
