Neil Lennon Criticises Philippe Clement’s Post-Match Comments
Former Celtic manager Neil Lennon has criticised Rangers boss Philippe Clement’s assertion of a ‘moral victory’ following the recent pulsating 3-3 draw in the Glasgow Derby at Ibrox.

Clement had praised his team’s resilience and comeback, which enabled them to salvage a point after being down twice in the match. He described Rangers as the “moral winners” of the encounter, a comment that did not sit well with Lennon.
Lennon, speaking to PLZ Soccer, dismissed the notion of moral victories in such high-stakes games. “I was disappointed with someone’s comments after the game yesterday. I didn’t agree with it. I don’t know what a moral victory means in an Old Firm derby, If you ever get one. You either win it or you lose it.”
It was quite a bizarre comment for the Rangers boss to make. It wasn’t the only daft thing he said, though. The Belgian manager tried to dismiss the penalty that Goldson conceded, which no one can have any complaints about. It was a handball all day long.
Celtic will be kicking themselves that they did leave Ibrox with all three points on Sunday, but will be the happier of the two teams with the point.
