MARIAN SHVED has not made Celtic’s squad for the Easter Road trip after the player recovered from an ankle injury he sustained on international duty earlier this month.
Neil Lennon confirmed the player is back in training BUT he is not in a position to play with his fitness not where it should be as of yet.
Speaking ahead of the Hibernian game to CelticTV the Irishman confirmed the player wouldn’t be included in the squad because of his lack of game time and match sharpness.
“Shved is back in training but again he hasn’t had much playing time.” Lennon told the media.
Since joining Celtic the winger has only had around 20 minutes of game time and already has a goal to his name. Some fans will be asking how the player is supposed to get match sharp if he isn’t even allowed to come off the bench in games at this point.
The fact is, the fight for places in the starting XI and on the bench right now is ferocious. So much talent to choose from and we don’t envy Neil having to pick who is left out.
