NEIL LENNON has today confirmed Scott Sinclair is indeed on the brink of a move away from the club he joined three and a half years ago. The invincible treble winner has been used less than sparingly this season by the Irishman and with Preston keen to get the winger back down south it looks like his Celtic career is indeed over.
Speaking from the club’s Dubai training camp, the Celtic manager spoke about the imminent move and the Celtic legacy Sinclair has built for himself at Parkhead.
“He’ll leave a huge legacy. He’s had a tremendous time here. It’s just a case of gametime being limited this season.” Lennon told RecordSport.
“He’s a fantastic professional, fantastic to have around the place but ultimately he wants to play and we couldn’t guarantee him that so he’s looking at going to Preston.”
Alex Neil has been keen on Sinclair for some time and he’ll be thrilled to get his man.
Sinclair was the catalyst for a lot of the positive stuff Celtic have enjoyed over the past three years. A constant in the treble treble run and an absolute mammoth during the invincible season.
He will leave with everyone’s best wishes once the deal is confirmed.
