Neil Lennon Confirms Goalkeeper Decision

Neil Lennon has made it clear who his number one is at the moment after surprising many on Tuesday evening with the inclusion of Craig Gordon.

Craig played his first competitive game of 2019 in Estonia after being unceremoniously dropped by Brendan Rodgers at the end of 2018.

Since then then goalkeeper has been spinning his wheels and an injury he picked up towards the end of last season meant Neil Lennon couldn’t recall the star even if he had wanted to do so.

Now he’s fit and with the game already won in the first leg, the Celtic boss decided to bring the goalkeeper back into the fold. Neil was clear that Craig was still number two and Scott had the jersey.

Keeping both on their toes.

“At the minute it’s Scott’s (jersey) because he’s done nothing wrong in the time I’ve been here. This is an opportunity for Craig Gordon, he’s an excellent goalkeeper.” Neil Lennon told BBC Sportsound.

So Scott Bain will be back in goals this weekend for the St Johnstone tie and Gordon must wait for The goalkeeper to mess up.
