NEIL LENNON is already planning for January and has confirmed targets have been identified to freshen up the squad for the second half of the season.
The bhoys have found things hard going this season and have lacked a spark both in defence and up top.
They have stumbled from one poor result to the next and all they can do right now is hold on and hope they’re in touch at the top when the window opens. Knowing Celtic, they wait til much later in the month to actually acquire players. We need quality and we need it quickly.
Speaking about transfers, the Celtic manager confirmed his hope for January.
“We have identified areas where we want to add and we are working away in the background on that.” Lennon revealed to Celtic TV.
“Hopefully we will get a bit of business done in January that will freshen things up and hopefully add a bit of quality to the squad.”
Celtic did business in January but they built for a 3-5-2 formation which looks dead in the water. Shipping some of the players out while bringing in some quality new additions would certainly be welcome but right now there’s no confidence that can be pulled off.
It could be too little too late by the time January rolls around if the team can keep winning until January then it could get interesting.
We’re not sure Lenny will be here next month if they drop any more points in the league.
