NEIL LENNON has been speaking to Peter Martin at PLZ Soccer this week. The former Celtic manager speaks about last season, his current club in Cyprus and speaking to Ange Postecoglou.
The full interview will be posted up at PLZ Soccer’s Youtube channel shortly, we listened to the interview live on PLZs afternoon show.
Neil was asked about his relationship with majority Celtic shareholder Dermot Desmond since being sacked in February and if anything has changed between Neil, Desmond and Peter Lawwell.

“No, not with them“ Lennon emphatically said.
“It has with some other people, ex-teammates, but not them“
Neil perhaps alluding to former Celtic players who are pundits in the media calling for him to leave the club when things were going badly wrong.
On Ange Postecoglou, surprisingly, Neil Lennon said he’s spoken to the Celtic manager on more than one occasion since the Australian took over at the club.
The Irishman was full of praise for Ange Postecoglou: “I think the way he comes across in the media, he’s pretty straight forward.
“He seems like a genuinely good guy, I’ve spoken to him on a lot of occasions, some of the players he’s brought in have been fantastic.
“He’s on the cusp of winning the title which would be a remarkable achievement
Neil Lennon will never really take ownership of last season for Celtic. There was a lot going on and I don’t think he was completely to blame for Celtic’s collapse but he certainly didn’t help the situation and was the petrol that helped the fire going longer.
He defended himself during the interview, saying recruitment was not great and the pandemic along with want away players meant it was always going to be a struggle.
We all need to move on.
