Former Celtic manager Neil Lennon has been speaking about the Scotland team ahead of their Euro 2020 operate on Monday.
The Celtic manager has a new gig with The Times. The Irishman opened up his relationship with the paper by conducting a polarising interview.
He’s now discussing all things international football this summer and his latest comments surrounding the Scotland team and specifically Jack Hendry makes a lot of sense considering the former boss never fancied Jack.
“I’m wary of the right side. Jack Hendry scored a great goal against Holland and I think he’s had a decent season but I do worry about him defensively sometimes, switching off and people running off the back of him or getting in crosses from that side.” Lennon told The Times
“Stephen O’Donnell has quality but maybe not top, top quality. It could be James Forrest there and that would leave a decision on right centre half whether it’s Jack or Grant Hanley or someone like that.”.
Jack has been touted as a permanent Oostende player, but the club have yet to confirm his permanent Celtic exit.
Perhaps they’ll wait to announce his departure after the Euro’s.
Jack has had a great season with Belgium and he’s looking to capitalise on the interest around him.
Oostende could look to quickly flip the defender for a decent profit.
Celtic’s first option clause has come back to haunt them a little this time around. Hendry not being a success at Celtic happens. Sometimes a player doesn’t suit a club.
