NEIL LENNON has addressed the Marian Shved situation after the Ukranian failed to make the bench for the Europa League tie with AIK and also didn’t get on against Dunfermline at the weekend.
Celtic fans have seen the clips of Shved and got a glimpse of the player against Kalju when he rifled home his first Celtic goal as a late sub.
The fans have been excited for Marian to make the switch to Glasgow since he was announced as a Celtic player back in January. The winger was loaned back out to his former club for the rest of the campaign and joined up with Celtic in the summer.
The 90 Minute Cynic bhoys asked the question of Neil Lennon at the post-match press conference and here’s what our manager had to say:
“Right now, he’s finding the going tough and it’s hard for him to make the breakthrough
“He’s a little bit frustrated, he just needs to up his tempo and his work
“It’s an adaptation period for him, he’s 21, he’s in a new country he doesn’t speak great English.
“We know we have a good player on our hands there and we’ll see more of him as the season progresses.”
What we can quickly dissect from that is Neil Lennon is demanding more from the player in training and wants to make sure he’s ready for a sustained amount of game time.
