On Friday evening, Nat Phillips took to his Instagram to extend a heartfelt thanks to the Celtic support, effectively confirming his departure from the club.
His message, imbued with gratitude, acknowledged the fans and his time spent in Glasgow, offering a personal touch to his exit that the club’s official channels had notably omitted.
Earlier on Friday, Phillips was spotted back in familiar territory, training with Liverpool, an image that confirmed the finality regarding his Celtic exit.
Phillips’s personal acknowledgment and return to Liverpool training provide a somewhat closure for fans who were left in the dark by Celtic’s unusual silence.

Unfortunately his time at the club was not successful. His final game was a 2-0 defeat to Hearts at Celtic Park where the defender scored an own goal and had a generally terrible game.
It was a short term loan deal that could have been extended if Celtic wanted to but in the end it’s best for all parties to go their separate ways.
