Before you read this, we know there’s a number of fans who could not give a lick about how Brendan Rodgers is conducting himself and this story isn’t for you but for the fans who look on in bewilderment have a read at the quote below.
Brendan Rodgers took part in a Q and A for Leicester on Wednesday and he was asked about the former Leicester chairman who tragically passed away in a helicopter accident.
The Irishman was obviously respectful but as Leicester posted the tweet on what he said in the aftermath of a tribute to the late chairman, he laid it on as only Brendan can.
BR: "I spoke to my wife afterwards about it, it was very moving. As a manager, I feel I missed out when I hear about Khun Vichai. I think it's what Leicester is about. It's an emotional club. We’ll use Khun Vichai’s memory to connect and build a legacy he can be proud of." pic.twitter.com/OBazBLEtdT

This sort of soundbite or quote was what Brendan Rodgers was synonymous for during his time at Celtic. Evoking emotions from past players, and legends of the club to make sure he had the fans inside.
The manager doesn’t seem to be able to help himself from pulling back a little when it comes to comments like this and Celtic fans couldn’t believe it.

Leicester fans will of course find these comments very moving and appropriate. However, like Celtic fans found out the hard way, the manager knows how to work his audience.
Check back at his infamous Danny McGrain story as just one example of him completely manipulating supporters.
