Steven Gerrard has piled pressure on his players by publicly stating he doesn’t think there’s much more room for error in the SPFL.
Speaking after his side were held to a 0-0 draw by Aberdeen, the Ibrox manager bemoaned the position they now find themselves in just a month after beating Celtic at Parkhead.
Gerrard celebrated that day like he’d won the league but Neil Lennon knew the race was far from over.
It has proven to be the case with Celtic marching ahead with seven more points on the board, albeit The Rangers have a game in hand.
Obviously frustrated after the rest – Gerrard can’t see Celtic doing him or his team many favours in the next 14 games.
“So we keep going, we keep pushing.
“But I need the players to find that spark again. They’re capable of it.
“Can we afford any more slip ups? If you look at Celtic’s form, probably not.”
This will only stand to ramp up the heat on his side. We have saw in the recent past the manager doesn’t seem to handle the media very well when his team loses. Throwing individuals under the bus and being very naive.
Neil Lennon has been here and done this. He knows the score and has handled the pressure.
Celtic just need to keep going about their business and everything will slot into place.
