Usually it wouldn’t be news when Celtic didn’t confirm a signing which was most likely going to be for developmental purposes. However, the radio silence over Jonathan Afolabi coming into the club is quite the mystery.

Celtic have been very vocal on social media about bringing new stars of the future in, with the website already boasting some of Celtic’s newest recruits.

However, after being spotted at Celtic Park and Neil Lennon talking about what the player will bring to the club – there has been absolutely nothing through official chances about the 19-year-old signing.

We seen something like this last season when Armtrong Oko-Flex was brought in from Arsenal but the announcement wasn’t made until 4 or 5 weeks later.

The club have been keeping a low profile over the past week on social media after the shocking result to Cluj a week ago today.

Perhaps they are saving an official announcement for when they’ve ran out of targets and need to announce something to the support.
