Social media has been speculating since pictures emerged today of Charlie Mulgrew back training with the club.

Many fans believing the player was back and ready to sign a deal he rebuffed last month.

However, Brendan Rodgers has now cleared this up and it would appear that Mulgrew won’t be a Celtic player going forward.

“His contract was up, he was looking to negotiate with the club and unfortunately those negotiations stalled.” said the manager.

Without a club & he asked if he could come in and train for a few weeks until something happened further down the line.”
