Former Celtic star Moussa Dembele is officially a free agent after his contract with Olympique Lyonnais came to an end.

The 26-year-old striker, who was a fan favourite during his two-year spell at Parkhead, is now exploring his next move.
Dembele’s impressive performance at Celtic, where he netted 51 goals in 94 appearances, caught the attention of Lyon. In the summer of 2018, he made a £19 million move to the Ligue 1 club.
Although he initially continued his scoring spree at Lyon, Dembele was eventually loaned out to Atletico Madrid. Upon his return to Lyon, he found himself playing a supporting role to Alexandre Lacazette, who joined the club from Arsenal in 2022.
Dembele’s departure from Lyon was confirmed by the club on Wednesday, thanking him for his contributions and wishing him well in his future.

The news is disappointing for Celtic, who had included a sell-on clause in Dembele’s negotations when he left the club.
Serie A champions Napoli and Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt have already initiated talks with Dembele’s representatives. However, it’s still unclear where the former Celtic striker will land next.
One thing that’s clear, though, is that the Frenchman will unlikely be returning to Paradise
