Moussa Dembele Becomes La Liga Winner

Former Celtic striker Moussa Dembele has become a La Liga winner with loan side Atletico Madrid.

The Frenchman joined the Spanish side on loan from Lyon at the start of the January transfer window and has now gone on to pick up a winners medal with Diego Simeone side.

Since leaving Celtic back in 2018, Dembele has had a successful spell in his homeland, scoring important goals including in Lyon’s run to the Champion League semi-final.

This helped him secure the loan move in Spain, with Atletico also having an option to buy on Dembele if they want to sign him permanently in the summer.

The 24-year old has now gone on to lift the third league title of his career, alongside two league trophies from his time in Glasgow.

It is brilliant to see former players go on and have a successful time elsewhere. But especially when it’s players such as Dembele, who continue to show their support for the club years after departing.
