Celtic remain firmly in the race for highly-rated Motherwell midfielder Lennon Miller, with the champions readying a renewed push to land the 18-year-old this summer.

The teenager, who recently received a senior Scotland call-up, has been on Celtic’s radar for some time, with the club reportedly trying to land him during the January window. However, with interest in Miller rising sharply across Europe, Celtic now face a more competitive fight for his signature.
According to RecordSport, Motherwell are thought to be holding out for a fee of at least £4 million, but that figure could rise depending on how many clubs enter the fray. Bundesliga sides including Borussia Dortmund, as well as teams in Serie A, are believed to be monitoring the situation closely.
He’ll cost more than what Celtic paid for David Turnbull.
Andy Halliday, a teammate of Miller’s at Fir Park, suggested that the player may lean towards a move abroad if guaranteed playing time is a factor, throwing a slight curveball into Celtic’s plans.
Nevertheless, the Parkhead club are expected to push hard to secure his services, viewing the midfielder as a long-term asset and one of the brightest Scottish prospects in recent memory.
With the Hoops looking to refresh their midfield ahead of next season, Miller would be a great addition. But to land him, they’ll need to move decisively and be prepared to match the financial demands, especially as the competition continues to build.
