Motherwell manager Michael Wimmer has hinted that Scottish midfielder Lennon Miller is set to leave the club. He did not confirm where Miller is going, but many hope that Celtic could be his next destination.
Miller played a key role in Motherwell’s 3-0 win over Kilmarnock at Fir Park last night, providing an assist before being substituted late in the game.

He said: (BBC Sportscene), “For me, only one sentence about Lennon, we always talk about football and we always talk about technique and tactic and, but we often forget the character and the human side and then if you are 18 years old and you have this pressure from the media to this club, this club, this club, get an invitation for the National A team so and you stay humble, you be on the ground, this is the most important.
“So he’s a brilliant guy and he, I don’t know, I wish him all the best and hopefully he make a great career.”
The midfielder’s consistent performances this season have made him one of the most sought-after young players in the Scottish Premiership.
His composure on the ball, work rate, and tactical awareness mark him out as a natural fit for a club like Celtic, who already shown their willingness to invest in young midfield talent, signing Arne Engels last summer for what was a club-record fee at the time. Engels, just 20 when he joined, has settled well into the squad, and the possible addition of Miller would further improve Celtic’s long-term plans in the middle of the park.

With Callum McGregor now 31 and Reo Hatate continually linked with a move away, signing Miller would be a long-term addition alongside Engels — adding further youth to the middle of the park and creating an excellent balance.
Miller is only 18 but has captained Motherwell at times this season, contributing 8 goals and 5 assists in 31 league appearances for the eighth-placed side. He looks set to take the next step in his career, with a move to the Hoops now appearing a real possibility.
