Peter Grant has discussed how he believes that Brendan Rodgers will handle the January transfer window.
With Celtic’s performances in recent games dipping ever so slightly, some in support will be hopeful that Rodgers will strengthen areas of the team, like left-back, upfront, and out wide
After such a successful summer window, Rodgers will hope to strengthen certain areas rather than rip up the whole team with a large number of outgoings and incomings.
However, Grant believes that Rodgers may not look to strengthen the squad in January.
He said: (Go Radio Football Show), “There’s so many European competitions with all these teams that’s involved and all their players are involved, so some of them, they’re not going to let them out.
“I think if Celtic keep their boys fit, they’ve got more than enough. The only changes I see is, say Luis Palma is getting talked about moving away. Thiago Holm, these boys, if the edge of it gets moved away, then I see replacements come in that they maybe work with.
“I don’t know what the young boys are like below, if they’re up to that level, so whether they’re up to the level to replace those guys or Celtic have to go out (and buy them). But I agree with Craig, I’m one of these guys that believe the window in the summer is so important and you’re hoping if you don’t get any injuries, that’s what’s going to get you through the season.”

With the winter transfer window often being a quiet one, Celtic did sign Nicolas Kuhn permanently and Adam Idah on loan in January, with Idah a standout towards the end of last season.
It showed that if you can get your signings right, it can make all the difference between winning trophies and finishing second.
Idah’s goals propelled Celtic to a league and cup double, with a late winner in the Scottish Cup final in May against Rangers.
Quality over quantity will certainly be the message from Rodgers to the Celtic board, with areas like left-back in particular needing to be addressed.
It may not be addressed over the next month; however, a conclusion to Greg Taylor’s contract situation is a must.
Given his mixed performance on Sunday at Hampden, it is a position that the Hoops should look to strengthen.
With Taylor’s contract set to expire in the summer, a sensational return to Celtic for Kieran Tierney has been consistently rumoured, with the next month being huge in the career of not only Taylor but also Tierney.
