MLS Game Throws Up Strange Celtic Anomoly

MLS fans were treated to a six goal thriller on Thursday evening between New York Red Bulls and Chicago Fire.

The two teams battled it out to a 3-3 draw on the night but it’s the goal scorers that caught our attention.

Our Editor noticed the strange Celtic connection stateside and shared it with his social media following.

Celtic made their money back on Patryk selling the Polish striker to the NYRB, while Cameron went for a nominal fee. Lewis was sold by Celtic to David Beckham’s Inter Miami and was traded to the New York Club recently.

Even though they’re all at the same club, it’s strange they’ve all contributed to the game on the night with goals from each of them.

There is a Celtic theme throughout both New York clubs with Ronny Deila and Efrain Juarez in charge over at New York City.

Ronny managed his side to the MLS Cup last term.

All the former bhoys are doing well, at least.
