Celtic are reportedly closing in on an £8m deal to sign standout Los Angeles FC player Mateusz Bogusz.

The versatile Pole has been on fire in 2024 so far, scoring 17 goals and assisting six in all competitions. He added another stunner to his ever-growing tally overnight.
Able to play anywhere in the frontline and in an advanced midfield role, the 23-year-old instantly adds several layers of quality to Brendan Rodgers’ squad.
He looks like a top talent, and MLS expert Taylor Twellman has recently spoken about his potential departure from the US.
Twellman is Apple TV’s lead analyst for the American top flight, and he thinks Bogusz’s move to Celtic would be extremely difficult for LAFC given the transfer window is now shut Stateside. He also believes the Hoops are getting a ‘brilliant’ player:

With just over a week left until deadline day, things are beginning to ramp up at Parkhead after a relatively underwhelming summer so far.
Bogusz looks Glasgow-bound, but there remain several other areas of the squad which need strengthening.
