Mikey Johnston Humorously Reacts to Head Knock

During Celtic’s 2-0 victory over Hibs on Sunday, substitute Mikey Johnston’s stint on the pitch was abruptly cut short due to quite a severe head knock.

Johnston, who had come on to replace an injured Kyogo, unfortunately, suffered a significant blow to the head, resulting in a bloody nose and noticeable swelling around his eye.

The collision was intense enough that despite Johnston’s attempts to continue playing, he was forced to leave the field early. The physical signs of the clash were stark, with his nose actively bleeding and his eye visibly swelling, making it clear he could not play on.

Despite the painful incident, Johnston maintained a light-hearted attitude about the situation. He later shared a photo on his Instagram story, capturing the aftermath of the incident. The photo, originally taken by the SNS Group, showed him with a bloody nose and blood on his hands. He captioned his Instagram story, “Cheers bud that one felt brilliant”.

Hopefully, it’s nothing too serious for the player, but due to concussion rules, he might have a few weeks on the sidelines.
