Celtic brought in Honduran internationalist Luis Palma from Greek side Aris Thessaloniki towards the end of the summer window. The winger came in with high regard, and he has definitely hit the ground running in Glasgow.
So far, Palma has scored five goals and assisted a further four in the city’s east end. He is adorned by the supporters, and there is one man the Parkhead faithful should be thanking that the 23-year-old is at the club.
That just happens to be former Ibrox boss Michael Beale. He and his former team were close to signing Palma at one point, Bute claims they decided against it in the end. He said (The Rangers Review): “Someone from his club was pushing him around. It wasn’t one we were willing to do.”

Beale could have just been saving face after Celtic signed Palma. There’s another train of thought that he has a choice of a few clubs and chose Celtic and Brendan Rodgers. Either way Celtic fans are gloating.
Palma has excelled in green and white, though. He goes from strength to strength each week, and his displays will be a stark reminder to the ex-Gers boss about what he messed up on.
