Medical Completed; Celtic Close to Five-Year Deal Announcement

Maik Nawrocki, the 22-year-old central defender, is on the brink of signing a five-year contract with Celtic.

The player, known for his physicality and strength, has already completed his medical tests in Scotland.

Celtic has agreed to a transfer fee of £4 million, with a 15% sell-on clause included in the deal. Nawrocki’s move to Celtic comes after a strong recommendation from Brendan Rodgers, who was keen to secure the defender’s services.

Josip Juranovic had phoned Nawrocki and talked about Celtic to the defender, despite leaving Glasgow for Berlin in January. With Galatasaray also interested in Nawrocki, this was likely a big factor in the deal.

Nawrocki, a product of the Werder Bremen youth system, missed Legia Warsaw’s match on Friday to fly to Glasgow and finalise the deal.

His arrival at Celtic is seen as a significant addition to the squad, bolstering their defensive options for the upcoming season.

With Nawrocki’s addition, Celtic fans are wondering if this opens the door to an exit, with interest in Stephen Welsh well reported.
