DAVID TURNBULL is on the brink of becoming Neil Lennon’s first summer signing after the player has reportedly completed his Celtic medical.
The £3million man has had to return early from his summer holiday in order to undergo his medical and thrash out terms with the Scottish champions which Herald Scotland confirm is close to being agreed.
Celtic haven’t wasted any time in getting the deal done after meeting Motherwell’s valuation of the player.
The Steelmen will benefit greatly from the transfer fee and will use it as a platform to take the club forward. Neil Lennon and Celtic are getting a hot young prospect who could prove to be a shrewd signing in the long run.
Many people saw Scott Brown’s fee of £4.4m to Hibernian being a large outlay but he more than paid off that transfer fee and then some!
Turnbull could be announced by the end of play today.
