Adam Idah is on the verge of leaving Celtic, with journalist Mike McGrath reporting that the forward will undergo a medical at Swansea City today.
Swansea have been pushing hard to land the 24-year-old in the final days of the transfer window, and today’s medical signals the deal is now at its closing stages.
Brendan Rodgers has already given the green light to Idah’s departure but only with a replacement lined up. Celtic are deep in talks with Anderlecht over Kasper Dolberg, with the Danish striker emerging as the frontrunner to fill the void up front. The club remain active in the market for attacking reinforcements, with another winger also believed to be on the agenda before Monday’s deadline.
Idah’s exit represents a quick turnaround in fortunes after he became one of Celtic’s most expensive signings last summer.
His loan spell from Norwich had brought goals at key moments, but consistency proved harder to come by after his permanent arrival. With Rodgers now reshaping his frontline, Celtic see this as the right time to cash in and reinvest.

If the medical goes as planned, Idah could be unveiled as a Swansea player before Monday’s deadline, ending one of the summer’s major transfer sagas for Celtic.
