Football Manager is an addictive pass time but we’ve never seen it used by a tool in the media to try and promote a club signing one particular player.
That’s exactly what Birmingham Live have done in a bizarre article about our striker Odsonne Edouard.
The online publication used the game’s editor to slot Edouard into the Villa squad to see how he would do. Why? We’re not quite sure.
If anyone is interested, Edouard scored 14 goals and made 8 assists during his online jaunt to Villa, proving once and for all he can cut in the EPL (Can you sense my sarcastic tone?).
There have been loads of links with Odsonne Edouard over the past year, but it’s believed the Frenchman has caught the eye of some top clubs so if and when he does go, he will not need a pitstop at a relegation battling EPL side to prove his worth.
Some Villa fans think he’s attainable because Eddy plays in the Scottish League and why wouldn’t he want to try and stave off relegation at Villa. However, the striker has big ambitions and Celtic have a very high price for their frontman. The best thing Villa fans can do is learn to use the football manager editor.
